The story board and Overhead shots.

In the scene that was in the first few minutes of video followed the rules of the Rule of Thirds and the 30 rule but did not follow the rule of 180. The director followed the rule of Thirds by always keeping the characters in some proportion of Thirds in relation to the rest of the shot such as in the beginning it would take 3 of "Naruto" to fill up the entire screen which means he takes up some form if one third. This is a vital part of the camera process because it keeps the eye focused on the things that are supposed to have some sort of meaning or importance. The director also followed the 30 Rule by always keeping new shots at least 30 degrees away from the previous shot in order to keep a good flow going on inside of the scene. The main way that the director kept this rule in use is by skipping from one side of the room to the other which is far away from 30 degrees from the previous shot. The one thing that the director did not follow was the 180 degree rule which was broken often with not that much space between it.  The main way that the director broke this was by jumping from behind Naruto to the other side of him on the behind shot which breaks the 180 degree rule if only by a little but still breaks it. The director broke the 180 rule most likely for the purpose of giving us a more look at how much power Naruto has by using a low angle shot up towards him while also giving us new perspective of Naruto. The directors talents are actually very nice in correlation with the scene as a whole because it uses different sides of the large room that has smaller jail cells inside of it to cause depth and the shot cuts and angles used caused a sense of emotion towards the characters in the jail cells. THANKS FOR READING THIS!

The Chase Scene from The 2nd Sherlock Holmes Movie

The Theme of the movie from the scene is that our main characters are running away from the "bad guys" and trying to stay alive long enough to bring them down. This is a very Active Theme because it is clearly shown that we are meant to follow the characters running and not the ones trying to kill them.

The theme is reinforced by the Space, Rhythm, and Movement primarily and has some line and shape in them slightly. The reasons that space is vital is because the space is very deep because they are in a woods and the sight of the trees in the background cause the scene to look very deep. The Rhythm of the scene is very sporadic because of the intense slow motion compared to the average running of the scene which is clearly a use of tension and release because the tension is built up during the slow motion parts and is released as the group runs again at normal speed. To further explain this it would be like holding a string taught while the scene is moving at a normal pace and when the slow motion parts of the scene happen the string is pushed together to give some slack which gives our eyes a break from following a very taught string or rhythm. Movement is also a key part of the scene because the group is in constant motion because they are running away from a hail of gunfire and explosions. The shape and line of the video cause together some contrast and affinity because most of the trees are very straight up and down while the group keeps stumbling forward to stay in motion. All of these together convey the theme because they are very jagged shots and cause a great deal of tension because the group is running for their lives which causes us to align with the group as they run.

Chihiro and Haku falling

Vash Screaming Peace and Justice Happily.

The Color and Lighting in the pictures are in heavy contrast. First the Hues of the colors are completely different considering that the main hues of the first picture is skin tones and white with some pink and green which is not as eye popping as the second picture which was  yellows and reds contrasting against the dark blue sky. The brightness is what really sets these two pictures apart from each other, the brightness of the first picture is more contrasted because of the night sky that is setting the overall lighting in the picture so the characters colors seem brighter than they are but, the brightness in the two are similar at the same time because both characters in the first video are very bright and the overall colors in the second picture are very bright the brightness of the red coat and his blond hair. The last part of color is the saturation. The contrast in saturation between the two are very different, in the first picture the colors are saturated because of the night sky in the background which is a very saturated blue. The second picture has almost no saturation except for the gloves that he is wearing which shows the contrast in the picture like the colors in the first picture. The second thing that can be compared is the overall lighting. In both the pictures they are lacking in the feel on shadows because they are in either a well lit area with no shadows or it is at night when no shadows can occur. The next thing is Symbolism which is not really represented in the lighting in the pictures but more in the colors than anything. The final part of lighting is the mood which is show in the first picture as the lighting done at night, the characters are well lit compared to the dark background which sets the mood of happiness. in the second picture the mood is one of happiness and joy not only because of what the picture is but the lighting sets the mood of happiness and joy due to the very bright lights.

The Lyrics for both songs are the exact same but the arrangement of the words are different because the style and structure and groove of the songs are different which and the emphasis in the lyrics is also different because each artist wanted to display a different feeling from the song. The melody of the song is the exact same in the aspects of following the same pattern but the tonal qualities are different because they are both played on different instruments and one is sang to a full on jazz band while the other is sang just to a Ukulele. The Melodic tones of the Frank Sinatra are fuller than the sounds of the Jason Mraz song because there is a larger sound backing up the sounds. The Musical Qualities of these songs are perfect for their own styles, The rhythm of the first song is very smooth and jazz like which causes a swing feeling and a smooth transitioning song. The second song is one that has more pop and spring to it which also allows for a good transition in the song but not as smooth as the first song. The Timbre for the songs are  completely opposing though, The first song had a great amount of timbre because of the overlaying sounds of the jazz band mixed with Frank Sinatra's singing and the overall intensity inside of the piece is much higher than the cover. In the Second song the timbre is much less because the only sound occurring is the Ukulele and Jason Mraz singing which also allows for a much lower intensity. The version of the song that I like better is the Frank Sinatra Version because it has much more feeling behind it and has overall a better sound behind it because the sound is fuller and the speed is perfect to emphasize certain lyrics inside of the song. Also the Jazz Groove of the song allows for me to be able to dance around whenever I hear the song playing which in my opinion means the song is better than other versions and covers of the song.

Watch From Minuet 0:00 - Minuet 3:15

I Had some Trouble posting it as a file so I copied it and pasted it into this as pictures.

The scene as a whole was done well by using Listening Modes and Space. The Listening Mode that was used the most in this scene was Casual and at times Semantic. The casual sounds that were used were the characters own voices which are real sounds and the sounds of a character hitting the ground or the chains rattling as the main character struggles to break free. Some of the Semantic sounds were the ones that had to do with the electricity that was used to shock the main character several times during the scene, the sound itself was not the real sound of someone or something getting electrocuted but rather the representational sounds of someone getting shocked. Another aspect that was used well in the scene was the use of Space. The use or Size, Distance and, Perception and Directionality was in the different camera angles that were used. If the camera was behind the main character then the sounds occurring and the characters voice itself was louder and seemed to move towards the other side of the room while if the character that was speaking was off screen the voices and sounds seemed to be trailing off into an echo but still in the same direction of the camera but because of distance was somewhat distorted.

#1.) A) Acknowledging the Lizard is when a person knowingly accepts the fact that there is a voice inside their head that tells them no to do things and just accept the mediocre life as a cog. When a person accepts this voice they are able to overcome it and are able to do things in their lives that they would normally be too afraid to do. Also when someone accepts the lizard part of their brain they are able to become the movers and shakers of the economy and get things done.

B.) Making Art is using the talents that you have already made in your life and using those talents to create something new and original and using that new and original item that can be used to interact and connect with people around the world using the art. Making art using no set rules and creates the uncreated. In essence art is a risky thing to make because you could fail over and over again in making your own art form known to the public.

C.) Learning can be summarized as striving everyday to learn something new. If this something new is an actual new fact or a new way of doing something compared to an old way of doing things then you learned something new. Learning can also be learning from mistakes that have happened in your life in order to not repeat the same events. Learning can also be applied to acknowledging the lizard brain in each one of us and using what we learn in order to overcome that part of our brain and learn to be an individual.

#2.The three layers discussed earlier are connected to this blog because this blog is a way to be connected and overcome our fear of the lizard part of our brain and expressing ourselves stops the human race from just becoming a cog in the giant economic machine that America is becoming. The aspect of making art is very close to this idea of creating a blog because this blog is our way as creative students to make our own sort of art. The art that we are making though is through the words that we are writing or the different lyrics that we use to express ourselves right now or through the various videos or pictures that we post into our blogs. The final aspect that is incorporated with this blog is the aspect of learning. Learning is an underlying factor that is being done every time we read another person's blog or reading an article on how to be creative or we learn through continuously practicing writing and expressing ourselves in order to be able to express ourselves succinctly. These exercises that we do weekly as blogs and as projects do make us better artists because most of the students in the class have not used every single program that is used during the course and by practicing with these different programs and with these different aspects of the creative process  we better understand how each branch of creating a product is done and by knowing how each system works we are able to create projects that can be done with ease by different branches and yet at the same time be created into something beautiful and intrinsic.  These exercises also help shape who we are as a person and a student because these various tasks force us to create something within a certain deadline and because they are created within a certain time period we as people are pushed further than we have been before in our lives which causes us to grow as people and workers in our various fields or the artistic and animating process. These deadlines also help us as students because we are forced to work diligently in order to not only get a good grade on the assignment but also to get it done on time as a whole. Overall these assignments are very helpful in understanding the concepts we are learning in class and very helpful in applying these concepts in a way that will help us create better and more coherent projects in the future.

Part One-One aspect of Johathon Flaum's article FIND YOUR HOWL that I can summarize is the story of the wolf finding his own howl after being born in captivity. At the beginning of the story the main wolf from the pack named Mumon set out on his own in order to learn the ways of living as a wolf in the wild. Eventually after finding out that just being himself gave him the ability to live as a wolf should live and in the end Mumon regained his howl. Mumon also learned that there is the way of life and that is it and one should not feel sad because of it. And as a result of this circle Mumon was killed but then reborn into a new life with a new pack in which town use his very essence to howl. The main point that Flaum is trying to make is that each person must live their lives in a pure essence so they can truly discover who they are and what they are meant to do.

Part Two-
Lyrics-It may not mean nothing to y’all,
understand nothing was done for me,
so i don’t plan on stopping at all,
I want this sh-t forever man, ever man, ever man,
I’m shutting sh-t down in the mall,
and telling every girl she the one for me,
and i aint even planning to call,
i want this sh-t forever man, ever man, ever man.

~Drake~ Forever

These lyrics speak to my creativity by giving my confidence that I can outperform others that I go up against in my creative career as well as any other daily challenges that I face as well as challenges in my academic career. This also speaks to my creativity because  Drake the artist is able to make a sensible story while also creating a fluid structure with a concise and lyrical rhyme scheme. Drake sets up the rest of what the song is about just from the beginning stanza. These lyrics also speak to my creativity because drake is expressing that he doesn't care if anyone else cares about his life but instead he only cares about the fact that he made it big without anyone else's help which is true for how I feel most of the time about most things that I do, I have to do things on my own even if people are saying that I won't be able to do it but I continue to try until my goal is reached. These lyrics also speaks to me creatively by demonstrating that there are so many different things that can be used to create something that millions of people love to think about and listen to. It also speaks to me because he admits that even though he has done some pretty amazing things he doesn't plan on stopping anything that he does even for a second because that is his passion and he loves where his life is heading which is something I want to be able to say later on in my life when I use my creativity to express myself and entertain a mass audience. This also speaks to me because he knows that he did everything on his own and that is another factor that will keep him going and stop him from quitting and kept him trying harder and harder to become the number one rapper which coincides with what I want to become in a sense except that I want to become the number one voice actor or at least number one in some artistic field. These lyrics also make me feel exhilarant about once I become big enough in some field I will be able to just go out and have fun but I will not be having fun by leading women on that is one part that I hope my creativity never lets me do. The repeating of the " forever..ever man" lyrics makes gives me a sense that my creativity will last in some way or another forever and that I will be able to continue making creative things such as music or using my voice for voice acting or even being in films for many years. Overall these lyrics speak to my creativity because it makes me feel safe that through hard work on my own or with others around me I will be able to create something that will last for generations and will entertain a mass audience.

The Hero: James Brett
Monochromatic Yellow-orange and brown or tan
The color scheme is monochromatic using different values and saturations of a combination hue of yellow and orange.  This combination gives a western dirty feeling that demonstrates how bland and base the character is. but the yellow tint shown is one of wealth in some meaning of the word. The Light value of the yellow orange and plain orange in the center show that the character is good in nature and value but on the outer rim the colors are more saturated to show that there is some darkness to the character in some form or another.
                                                               Sunlight in front of character
The lighting in the picture of the man riding into the sunset is one that represents the ongoing movement of the character because the light is fading down but there is still some there that makes the character look shadowed with not much detailed which can be taken as the character is seen in the public eye but is not seen as someone who is fully understood or liked all that much. The light also represents a goal that is trying to be attained by the character heading towards it rather than headed away from it or being in the spotlight of fellow mans praise and attention.

                                                                            The Star
The star symbol is one that references many things such as truth and loyalty and justice. The star has been used for many years to demonstrate a person's passion or belief. The star also symbolizes in this case an intricate shape that is not as simple as others which means there are many facets that keep an air of mystery about its shape. the star also is one that is for navigation and being the light in the darkness which are both admirable qualities to have that cause people around them to look at the character and feel safe with their life.

The Villain: Vito Carenzetti

Red, Purple, and yellow color scheme
This color scheme is an analogous color scheme that accents each other to bring them out and the red and the yellow share a similar tone and are a contrast to the dark hue of purple and these together create a mood of power and royalty while being the center of attention. the red and yellow are wealth and power and the purple represents the royal factor of being sophisticated with power. This scheme also keeps the attention of those around the character because of the deep contrast. In total the scheme bring the character to be one of control and power.
                                                                  Business man in spotlight

The lighting represents the center of attention while also being classy and powerful. The dual lights on a dark background means that the character is the center of attention in the public light but behind the scenes there is a dark world that should be shown to the rest of the world. The dual lights from both sides forming into one circle shows that everything in the world around him sees him as someone that should be looked to because of how he acts towards the public face but the still present black background is left behind the lights in mystery.

Square or Cube Shape
The shape of a square or cube is a symbol of power or strength and stability and order. The cubes or squares basic structure is one where an entire face or a majority of the figure itself is planted on the ground the stability. The sense of power or strength comes from the stability of the figure as a whole, the power comes from the daunting presence of the cube or square as a whole. The whole figure is one that inspires fear if the shape as a whole is large enough in some sense of power or strength.
